Q. What is the difference between a ballpoint and a rollerball?
A. The difference is in the ink, a ballpoint uses an oil based ink so doesn't need capping to prevent it drying out. A rollerball uses a water based ink (the same as a fountain pen) so needs to be capped. A rollerball is incredibly smooth to write with.

Q. What sort of refills do your pens require?
A. The ballpoints use what is know as a Parker G2 refill, these are available from any good stationers, or from here. The rollerballs use a Schmidt 888 ceramic ball refill. For fountain pens, I recommend Diamine ink, made in the UK and available in cartridges or as bottled ink. Pencils use either a 0.5 or 0.9 mm lead depending on type.

Q. How long are your pens guaranteed for?
A. All pens come with a 12 month warranty

Q. I've bent my fountain pen nib / I would like a broader / finer nib. What can I do?
A. I'm very happy to replace a nib at cost price.

Q. What sort of pen would you recommend?
A. My personal preference is a rollerball, the convenience of a ballpoint and the effortless writing of a fountain pen, but with zero maintainance.

Q. I have an old hammer handle that belonged to my late grandfather, could you make a pen out of it for me?
A. Yes, of course, I've made pens from lots of different objects and tool handles always work well. See here for more information.
