My business really started in 2014 when one of the oldest walnut trees in the UK sadly blew down in a storm at
Lydiard Park in Swindon. It was decided to make a range of pens and cufflinks from some of this wood to sell through Lydiard House. Since then I have also made products for the
Steam Museum using a timber that was once part of the Swindon Railway Works, Next was wood from the mulberry tree at the
Richard Jefferies Museum, the tree that Jefferies used to sit under while writing. As I sell in Bath a lot I was looking for some wood with a connection and was fortunate to source two. Oak from
Bath Abbey that was removed during the Footprint Project in 2018 and elm from the historic public house
The Grapes. In 2017
Ramsbury Brewery approached me to have some pens and cufflinks made from brown oak from their own estate.
One of my most exciting projects is working with the National Trust property
Woolsthorpe Manor, producing products from wood trimmed from Sir Isaac Newtons apple tree.
